LIVE CONCERTS

ATARAXIA - APRIL 21st , 2001 - INMACULADA CONCEPCION THEATER - BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA.

I must say that I am amazed on how little the people that follows this kind of music in Argentina has promoted this concert. It seems that instead of trying to make more people listen to this style, they try to make the artists play only for themselves. Also sometimes is funny to see some of this persons with their arrogance believing that all the persons that go to this concert should wear the same clothes as them.. JAJAJA.

Well, after strucking a little bit those suckers, I will put my attention on the main thing, the concert that Ataraxia did in this city. The theater is very small with cpacity for 300 people more or less, it was like seeing a show at home. This was a positive aspect.

the beginning of the show was with "Arcana Eco", an epic song with Francesca Nicoli showing all her vocal skills. The stage presence of Ataraxia changes regarding de place and situation in which they are playing. Here, everything was climatic. On the left Francesco Banchini on percussion and flute on the right, Vittorio Vandelli with his guitar, and in the middle, Francesca. Also there was the fourth member of the band, Lorenzo Busi on dance and escenic action.

Ataraxia bases their great quality set in very climatic song where the guitar melodies are intertwined with the voice of Francesca. So, they played beautiful songs as "Saderaladon" , "Mnemosine" and "Il bagatto" from their latest recording "Sueños". There were a couple of instrumental moments, also with Vittorio and his guitar.

After this, followed songs like "Aperlae" from "Lost Atlantis", "Mundus est Jocundum" and "Belle Jolande", this last one also from "Sueños". After showing all the beauty and harmony over the stage, Ataraxia played "Encrucijada" and "Parti de Mal" and finished their set.

The people asked for more, and they had to appear three times to do the bises , (the last one with all the lights of the theater on). Among this last songs there was a repetition of "Arcana Eco", and another one of "Il Bagatto".

Excelent show, very climatic and we hope that events like this happen again with mor people.
