 Ataraxia - Des Paroles Blanches
(Arkadyss Creations)

At the time these lines are written we are near the new live show of ATARAXIA in Hellas, a very important event (those that have watched them live know why). If the digital imprint of their music touches you, then on stage ATARAXIA will crush you. Without exaggeration, these Italians are something more than what we are used to refer to as just a band. Here we have a company that have given themselves to music, body and soul. Like incarnations of Indiana Jones of the Lost Pentagram they search for sounds lost in the ages approaching with respect the cipher rituals so they can reproduce the seducing sirens that seat in residences unpresses for the modern human-destroyer. Fransesca Nicoli (vocals), Vittorio Vandelli (guitars), Giavanni Pagliari (keyboards) and Fransesco Banchini (flute, clarinet), without any doubt are characterized as leaders in the folklore-medieval-renaissance movement, that doesn’t confine themselves to music but to the connection of music with the local folklore, namely a perception of music not detached but in indissoluble connection with the manners and the customs, the preconceptions and the arts of each populace. In "Des paroles blanches" single that contains only three compositions they continue the ethereal tradition of "Suenos", "Mon seul desir", while emphasizing in the further dramatization of the already emotionally charged sound. By separating their career in three phases (the first up to "Concerto n.6", the second from their accession in Cold meat industry up to "Lost Atlantis" and the third in the drumless and acoustic diversion of the last records) that each of them does not deny the previous, we comprehend their ability to twist and achieve great deeds in so different fields. Precious aid-giver and a permanent advocate of their travel, is Francesca’s angelic voice. Yes, if angels existed, they would call out to us in that way. I wonder what else they have in store for us for the future... www.ataraxia.net
